HD-PLC Alliance was established in September of 2007 to promote and expand HD-PLC, and to secure communication compatibility between products by various manufacturers. The alliance encourages Japanese and foreign companies who develop products and provide services based on HD-PLC standards, as well as companies interested in HD-PLC to join. It is considering the operation of the communication compatibility verification system between different models of HD-PLC, as it actively seeks to promote HD-PLC through various activities.
• Activities
(1) Host the “Compatible Communication Plug Fest”, as well as analyzing the compatible communication verification system and facility management
(2) Engage in public relations activities to promote HD-PLC including web-based promotions, as well as participating in expositions/trade shows in collaboration with other companies
(3) Engage in promotional activities to establish stable communication conditions (calling on electrical material dealers, construction companies, and wiring companies)
(4) Participate in PLC Technical Network, sharing information on operating environment for PLC
(5) Host technical seminars for HD-PLC members/non-members
(6) Engage in other necessary activities to achieve the goals of the HD-PLC Alliance
*HD-PLC is a power line-based communication system, which enables users to easily build networks by using existing power lines.
